What does budget really mean?

July 21, 2014

So the other day I pulled up my blog and I noticed something, my sub title. My old sub title read “helping you with your finances.” My new one however reads “deals with more than just money.” Why did I change it, because so far the posts that I have put together don’t just talk about money and money problems. People need more help in life that aren’t just money related. From the main title “budget hill” you would think it deals with money, but what does “budget” really mean? Dictionary definition: an estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time. So yes, the main use of the word is for money purposes. But when I think about a “budget” what comes to mind is a plan. A plan for a business, a plan for an operation, or just a plan for your life. Because I’ve learned that if you don’t have a budget, or have one and don’t follow it, then it feels like your life is upside down. A budget will really shape and define what you can do and not do with your money at your current position in life. HAVE A BUDGET!
