Proverbs Chapter Eleven:  The Way to Live

gameplan

I think I have stressed this already, but the entire book of Proverbs is like a written game plan.  A game plan that shows you how to live and what to do, it also shows what not to do and what will happen if you do live the wrong way.  In Proverbs, we continually see words that you should want to describe you.  Humble, Honest, Godly, Knowledge, Trustworthy, Wise, Kind, and the list could go on and on.  But so many people don’t live this way, they live almost completely opposite of this.  There are so many great verses in this chapter, I encourage you to go through and read the entire chapter as well as the entire book of Proverbs, you won’t be disappointed.

The Lord has opened my eyes to something that I keep noticing more and more.  There are so many people, or “Christians,” around me and their life and who they are doesn’t reflect Christ in the slightest way.  As true Christians we should be on God’s team and be going by His game plan and not our own.  Being on God’s team requires all of you, 1 John 2:15 says, Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.  So you are for God or against Him, which side do you want to be on?

I have been drifting so far from God here lately, and a few months back I have slowly been finding my way back to God.  From my personal testimony, I have never been better, with God on my side and me focusing on what He wants out of my life then everything just works and fits together.  This is going to sound weird (I have found out that weird is actually GREAT) but when I go out to places, whether that be to work, school, or just out and enjoying the day, one of my objectives in the day is stand out to someone.  Stand out in such a nice way and have a mighty impact that they wonder what the heck is wrong with me.  I pray to God each and every day to help me shine and show His love through everything I say and do.
