Power in Lyrics

I love music, anytime I’m in the car you can bet that I am listening to music.  The music that I love the most is the music that really talks to you, hits a nerve or creates a spark in your mind and in your heart.  The music that does that for me is in the Christian genre, and every time I hear a song, even if it’s just one song, I can truly feel God talking to me.  Maybe I am feeling down or maybe just wondering what exactly I should do or say, and God talks to me and shows me through a song or two.  It truly is awesome.

The reason I am talking about this is because the other day I heard a song that really made some gears turn in my heart.  I mean this song made me stop and think about a few things.  The artist has so many great titles that really put my life in perspective and make me think about what I am doing or what I am thinking.  Sidewalk Prophets is the group and the song that I am referring to is “The Words I Would Say.”  Now the meaning of the song is someone talking to another person, a friend or family member maybe, that has been or maybe still hurting.  Letting them know that it’s not over.  The chorus is what really hit me hard:

Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope.  You’re gonna do great things I already know.  God’s got His hand on you so don’t live life in fear, forgive and forget but don’t forget why you’re here.  Take time and pray, these are the words I would say.  The song goes on and says to find peace in the Father, thank God for each and everyday, and lastly know that His love will find a way…His love will always find a way.

Remember to never give up on God, because He won’t ever give up on you.  God will always be there for you and He will be watching over you.  He has a plan and never forget that, let God lead and drive your life.  Pray to God and ask Him to help you find it, ask God to show you the steps to take, and never stop praying.  GOD WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU.
