So I am a huge movie fan, and the other day I was re-watching The Dark Knight Trilogy…and yes I’m a huge Batman fan as well.  But the one thing in movies that I truly love is that WOW factor, the moment in the movie when you get goosebumps, the moment when your heart just starts racing and you have the biggest grin on your face and just thinking, “oh, yeah.”

Well one of my favorite quotes is from this trilogy.

Jim Gordon:  I never cared who you were…

Batman:  And you were right.

Jim Gordon:  …but shouldn’t the people know the hero who saved them?

Batman:  A hero can be anyone.  Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boys shoulders to let him know that the world hadn’t ended.

Two things I wanted to pull from this post is that “a hero can be anyone.”  Some people think that missionaries are the only ones that can spread the word of God, and that just isn’t true.  The word of God needs to be heard everywhere, and the United States of America is just as lost if not more so then some country in Africa.  Its our job as His people and followers to reach out and touch the hearts of the lost.

The other thing was that WOW factor I was talking about, we need to make God our WOW factor, show people that He truly is enough for anyone and that He can truly do anything for everyone.  God is the great I am and I think we forget that sometimes.
