So when I first created this blog it was going to be for money or budget problems. But now it seems that I need to make it more about life problems.
In my mind money is a huge hindrance sometimes, whether it prevents you from doing things you want to do or from being who you want to be. (No I’m not saying that you should let money make you something you’re not, but not having money might hold you back from doing something extraordinary.) So yes, money is important but it’s not everything.
But what is important is being who you were made to be, not trying to act like the cool guy at school or striving to impress that new girl in your class. Being uniquely you is very important and it helps you to put all else aside and focus completely on God.
God has told us that He will never leave us or forsake us, so why would you not want to put all of yourself in Him? The one big problem I face is envy. The definition of envy is, a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another’s advantages, success, possessions, etc. Just reading that definition makes me think…that is a terrible way to live my life. Why not try to make ourselves into something great?
In the book of Galatians there is this very strong passage:
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
To me, God is being very loud and clear that He does not approve or accept this kind of lifestyle.
First, find out what is stopping you or holding you back from being all that you can be for Christ and then work towards fixing that problem and running towards God in everything thing that you do.
Run towards God everyday…
